Shamkhani: If sanctions are lifted immediately we are ready to reach an agreement with Trump
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the American news network NBC News reported, quoting Ali Shamkhani, a political advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, that he stated in an interview with this news network: iran is prepared to accept significant commitments within the framework of an agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump—including abandoning high-enriched uranium stockpiles adn refraining from producing nuclear weapons—provided all economic sanctions against Iran are lifted immediately.
The American network further quoted Shamkhani as saying: Iran is ready to enrich uranium only up to civilian needs and will allow full oversight by international inspectors in this process.
NBC News wrote: When asked whether Iran would be prepared today to sign such an agreement if these conditions where met, Shamkhani unequivocally replied: “Yes.”
According to this american network’s report, “Shamkhani added: There is still [room for] an agreement. If Americans act according to their claims, we can certainly have better relations. This could lead to improved conditions in the near future.”
NBC News wrote: Criticizing the U.S. government’s contradictory behavior and referencing Trump’s claim that he had extended an olive branch to Iran, Shamkhani also said: He speaks of an olive branch, but all we have seen is barbed wire.
