Stick in the wheel of negotiations with a letter Republicans united against Iran
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, a letter from U.S. Congressional Republicans to President Donald Trump has requested heightened pressure and stricter measures against Iran concerning its uranium enrichment program.
The letter, signed by over 200 republican members of Congress and trump’s party allies, states: Iran must surrender all capabilities for uranium enrichment!
The letter emphasizes that “the scale and scope of Iran’s nuclear growth make it impractical to verify any new agreement that allows Iran to continue uranium enrichment.”
The signatory Republicans warned that the U.S. “must not” agree to a deal similar to the 2015 nuclear agreement (JCPOA), as such an agreement would buy Iran time to secretly advance its nuclear program.
The letter comes as officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have repeatedly stressed that uranium enrichment is Tehran’s red line, and in indirect talks with Washington, there will be no negotiations on regional issues or defense and missile capabilities.
