Zelensky met with Erdogan
Ukraine’s President, who traveled to Turkey for potential peace negotiations between kyiv and Moscow, met with the country’s leader.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Kyiv Independent, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine’s President—who arrived in Ankara for possible peace talks with Russia—met with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s President.
Zelenskyy’s plane landed in Ankara hours ago, while Vladimir Putin, Russia’s President, declined to visit Turkey and instead sent a delegation.
On May 11, Putin proposed that Kyiv officials resume “without preconditions” the indirect negotiations abandoned in spring 2022. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced Ukraine’s plans to travel to Turkey. earlier, Donald Trump, the U.S. President, had urged Ukraine to immediatly except Putin’s offer.
