Reuters quoting an Iranian official: We have not received any new offers
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Reuters reported that Tehran has not received any new proposals from the U.S. regarding unresolved issues in Iran’s nuclear case.
The senior official also emphasized that Tehran would settle for transferring highly enriched uranium out of the country if U.S. sanctions are lifted. The transfer of uranium enriched above 5% has consistently been part of nuclear negotiations with the U.S.
Earlier, Axios, citing a U.S. official and two informed sources, claimed that the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump had presented tehran with a “nuclear deal” proposal during the fourth round of indirect talks with Iran.
The website alleged that this was the first time since negotiations began between Tehran and Washington that Steve Vietkoff, Trump’s special envoy for West Asia, had submitted a written proposal to Iranian officials.
