Iraqi foreign minister travels to Iran
According to a report by teh English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Iraq’s Channel 4,Fuad Hussein,Iraq’s Foreign Minister,revealed his imminent trip to Iran.
He stated: “I plan to travel to Tehran after the Arab League summit in Baghdad and hold meetings with Iranian officials.”
Regarding ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington, Fuad Hussein said: “Baghdad is fully aware of the talks between Iran and the U.S., and the failure of these negotiations would be a dangerous matter.”
Addressing U.S.pressure to reduce Iraq’s trade ties with Iran, he emphasized: “The U.S. has insisted that purchasing oil and gas from Iran constitutes financial support for tehran and must cease.”
The Arab League summit will be held in Baghdad next Saturday.
