Iraqi foreign minister travels to Iran

According to ⁣a report by teh English section‌ of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News ​Agency and Iraq’s‌ Channel‍ 4,Fuad Hussein,Iraq’s Foreign ​Minister,revealed his imminent trip to Iran.

He stated: “I plan ‍to travel to Tehran ‌after the Arab League summit in Baghdad and⁢ hold meetings with Iranian officials.”

Regarding ongoing ⁣negotiations between Tehran and Washington, Fuad Hussein said: “Baghdad is fully aware‌ of the talks between Iran and the U.S., and the failure of⁤ these‍ negotiations would be a⁣ dangerous‌ matter.”

Addressing U.S.pressure to reduce Iraq’s trade ties with Iran,⁣ he emphasized: “The U.S. has insisted that purchasing oil and gas from Iran constitutes ⁤financial support for tehran and must cease.”

The Arab League summit ‌will be held in Baghdad next Saturday.
