Hamas conditions for prisoner exchange emphasizes withdrawal of Zionist forces and reconstruction of Gaza

Hamas Political ⁤Bureau member ‌demands movement’s conditions⁢ be met for agreement with “Zionist enemy.”

According to a report by the english section of webangah News⁣ Agency, citing‍ Mehr News ‍Agency and Al Jazeera,‌ Basem Naim, ‌a senior member of Hamas, stated that the group is willing to release ‍all ⁣Zionist prisoners⁣ only if it leads to a complete cessation of hostilities.

He added that the unconditional withdrawal of Israeli forces⁤ from ⁢the gaza Strip, unrestricted access to humanitarian aid, and the start of reconstruction without forced displacement are among Hamas’s ⁤main conditions⁣ for such an agreement.

The Hamas official noted that ⁣these ⁤proposals have been shared not only through mediators but also directly with some American officials, receiving encouraging responses ⁢in some cases.

He also announced Hamas’s approval of Egypt’s proposed‌ plan to establish a non-political entity to manage Gaza’s⁢ affairs, emphasizing: “The group ‍is ready to transfer administrative control of the region once the war‌ ends.”

Responding to zionist regime demands for disarmament and an end to Hamas’s governance in Gaza, he stressed: “Under occupation, resistance is the natural right of Palestinians.‍ Confronting occupation through legitimate means is inevitable.”

Citing advanced ⁣Western weaponry ⁤and‌ extensive support for Tel Aviv, he argued: “If disarmament is discussed, it must first address Israel—which possesses military tools ranging from chemical and biological weapons even nuclear arms.”

The official concluded by expressing readiness: “We‌ are prepared to cooperate with Washington [the U.S. government] toward ending this war. Gazans ‌deserve peace like ⁢all nations—not forced displacement but an end to aggression so they can rebuild ⁤their homeland.”
