Arab delegations enter Arab Summit meeting hall
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qiam Post, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani arrived at the Arab Summit hall in Baghdad earlier today to welcome participating guests.
Following this, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, along with delegations from the UAE and Kuwait, entered the Presidential palace and the summit venue. The Bahraini delegation and Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad also arrived at Baghdad International Airport earlier.
Additionally,Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi arrived in Baghdad earlier today. Upon arrival, he thanked Iraq for its efforts in hosting both the Arab Summit and the Development Summit, stating that these meetings signify Iraq’s strong return to its Arab sphere.
The Iraqi Prime Minister held intensive meetings earlier today, including discussions with a delegation from the Canary Islands. He also met with Jasem Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and also UN Secretary-General António Guterres before the summit began.
A meeting with Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), was another item on al-Sudani’s agenda.
The Prime Minister further welcomed political delegations from Morocco, Oman, Algeria, Kuwait, Djibouti,Tunisia,Lebanon,Somalia,and Jordan at summit hall.
