Sanaa Airport in Yemen reopened

Sana’a International Airport officially reopened today following the landing of a Yemeni⁤ airline flight from Jordan.

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr ⁣News Agency and Al-Masirah News, Sana’a International Airport reopened to foreign ‌flights this morning.

The report states that the first flight to land at ⁤the airport originated from Jordan, operated by Yemen Airways, carrying 136 passengers.

Sana’a Airport was one ‌of the targets of Zionist fighter jets ‌on⁤ May 6. In this terrorist attack, Israel destroyed the waiting hall, runway, and six aircraft stationed at the airport, halting operations ⁢for nine days. Sana’a Airport is the only operational airport in areas⁢ controlled by Yemen’s ‌government (supported by⁣ Ansarullah). Following a ceasefire agreement between⁤ Yemen and​ the Saudi-led coalition,it now hosts ⁤ 2 to 4 daily round-trip flights to jordan or Egypt.

Meanwhile,residents of Sana’a—Yemen’s capital—joined massive protests today​ at Sabaeen Square after participating in⁤ yesterday’s million-person marches across multiple cities. The demonstration was titled “Confronting Genocide and Starvation.”
