Conflicting reports on progress of prisoner exchange talks in Doha
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Palestine’s Sama News Agency, “Barak Ravid,” a journalist affiliated with Zionist regime decision-making centers, reported that a educated American official told him progress has been made in the doha negotiations regarding a prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement in Gaza. However, finalizing the deal will require several more days.
Ravid stated that “together,Qatar’s Prime Minister met with Khalil al-Hayya,head of Hamas’ negotiation delegation, this evening to discuss the negotiation dossier and determine whether Hamas will ultimately agree to a partial deal that does not lead to an immediate halt to the war.”
He added: An Israeli official also noted that Hamas’ willingness to resume negotiations resulted from Israel’s military operations expanding ground activities in Gaza as well as U.S. pressure on Qatar—pressure that qatar conveyed to Hamas.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 15 cited a regime official reporting that Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, has granted full authority to Israel’s negotiation team.
Suleiman Maswada, a reporter for Israel’s Kan Reshet network, also reported that following these developments, israel’s Prime Minister decided to keep its negotiation team in doha.
The reports come* as sources told Al-Arabi TV that indirect talks have stalled due to Netanyahu rejecting any proposal or formula for ending the war.
