Terrorist groups clashed in central Syria
According to teh English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen network, security forces of the Al-Jolani regime and the terrorist group ISIS clashed in the Tadmur desert near eastern Homs in central Syria.
Earlier,a spokesperson for the Al-Jolani regime’s Interior Ministry claimed in an interview with Al Jazeera that several ISIS-affiliated cells had been identified and confronted in Aleppo province.
The official alleged: “These cells were planning attacks against Syrian security forces.”
The security official further stated: “During an operation targeting their hideout in Aleppo,one terrorist carried out a suicide bombing.”
He confirmed all members of these ISIS cells were Syrian nationals.
The spokesperson asserted: “This cell is part of a broader network operating with foreign support,aiming to destabilize security and target state institutions.”
“Another member of this network later conducted a suicide attack in southern Syria,” he added.
The official claimed Syrian security forces thwarted another planned terrorist attack—an explosion targeting a bus carrying personnel near Damascus—before it could be executed.
