Palestinian source claims Hamas concession for Gaza ceasefire
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a Palestinian source familiar with the Qatari negotiation process told sky News Arabia that Hamas has agreed to a two-month temporary ceasefire in exchange for releasing half of the Zionist prisoners and handing over the bodies of several deceased captives, along with the immediate resumption of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The source added that Hamas demands strong guarantees from the U.S. to initiate ceasefire talks.
The same source stated that Hamas doubts America’s mediation power to compel Netanyahu to fulfill his commitments, as his cabinet opposed implementing its obligations despite U.S. pressure after releasing an American-Zionist prisoner.
The source claimed Hamas has expressed readiness to discuss disarmament during ceasefire negotiations and relinquish control over administering the Gaza Strip.
