Lebanon Launches Third Phase of Municipal and City Council Elections on July 15, 2024
The third phase of Lebanon’s municipal and city council elections begins in beirut, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel governorates.
webangah News Agency reports that the third round of Lebanon’s municipal and city council elections commenced Sunday in the governorates of Beirut, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel.
Lebanon’s Interior Minister ahmad Hajjar expressed hope for increased voter turnout as polling stations opened.He noted election officials in Beirut and Bekaa have prior experience conducting polls and expects vote counting to proceed efficiently.
This phase follows two earlier rounds held in other Lebanese governorates.
