Israeli Official Claims All Evidence Points to Assassination of Mohammad al-Sanwar
according to webangah news Agency, Israeli War Minister yisrael Katz acknowledged that Mohammad al-sanwar’s assassination remains unconfirmed but asserted all evidence indicates the operation succeeded.
During a session with the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, Katz stated: “Mohammad al-Sanwar’s death hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but the evidence suggests the assassination operation was successful.”
The statement follows earlier reports by some Israeli media outlets claiming the regime’s air force conducted nine airstrikes using bunker-buster bombs on Khan Younis’ European Hospital in southern Gaza.
These outlets emphasized that while the younger brother of Yahya al-Sinwar was reportedly targeted in recent strikes on the hospital, his fate remains unclear.
Notably, after Yahya al-Sinwar’s assassination last year, Hamas underwent significant leadership restructuring, with Mohammad al-Sanwar emerging as commander of its military wing in Gaza.
A recent report by Yedioth Ahronoth revealed israel’s intelligence service continues gathering data about both Mohammad al-Sanwar – brother of Qassam Brigades commander Yahya – and unidentified casualties from strike locations. The agency reportedly requires several more weeks for definitive confirmation.
