Hamas denies reports of Yahya Sinwar’s brother being killed

Al Jazeera reports that Dr.Zakaria al-Sinwar, the elder brother of martyred Hamas political leader Yahya al-Sinwar, has not been killed but remains in critical condition due to severe injuries.

webangah News Agency reports that an Al Jazeera correspondent confirmed Dr. Zakaria al-Sinwar is still alive despite earlier announcements of his death by medical staff.

The correspondent stated that after doctors declared him dead, Dr. al-Sinwar was moved to the hospital morgue but was later revived when signs of life were detected. He currently remains in unstable condition due to the severity of his wounds.

Palestinian media had earlier reported that Dr. al-Sinwar and members of his family were killed during last nightS Israeli attacks on Al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

Zakaria Ibrahim Hassan al-Sinwar, also known as Abu Yahya, was born March 7, 1965 in Khan Younis refugee camp in southern Gaza. He served as a professor of contemporary history at the Islamic University of Palestine.

In related developments, Israeli War Minister Israel Katz acknowledged that while the assassination of Muhammad al-Sinwar – yahya’s younger brother – remains unconfirmed, all evidence suggests the operation succeeded.
