Hamas says world’s failure to stop occupiers’ war crimes is shameful
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas stated that the occupying army committed a new crime against journalists by killing five reporters in Gaza, according to webangah News agency.
Hamas said the “Zionist fascist army” continued its campaign of harassment and killings targeting journalists in Gaza, committing a new crime against Palestinian reporters. In a simultaneous and intentional operation, it targeted five journalists: Aziz al-Hajjar, Noor Qandeel, Abdulrahman al-Abadla, Khaled Abu Seif, and Ahmed al-Zeinati.
The movement’s statement emphasized that the ongoing targeting of journalists – who are protected under international law - confirms the Zionist fascist cabinet’s humiliating message to the world community, the United Nations, and international institutions.
Hamas described it as shameful that the world remains unable to confront unprecedented war crimes committed for months against innocent civilians – crimes broadcast live on television networks. These include systematic attacks on journalists as punishment for performing their professional and ethical duties, which have resulted in 220 journalist deaths so far.
The statement called on international media organizations and journalists worldwide to show solidarity with their colleagues working in Gaza Strip and amplify their message globally. It urged them to expose occupation forces’ attempts to hide truths about their aggression while working to neutralize this regime’s ongoing criminal objectives against Palestinian journalists.
