UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders warn of catastrophic conditions in Gaza
webangah News Agency reports that UNICEF has stated children in Gaza are under bombardment and deprived of basic health services and essential supplies.
The agency’s statement emphasized the crisis has worsened due to the blockade preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza over the past two months.
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) described catastrophic conditions for Gaza residents following the collapse of the ceasefire, noting that life in the strip grows more desperate by the minute. No food,fuel,medicine,or aid has reached Gaza since March 2.
The institution demanded international pressure on Israeli authorities to stop using humanitarian aid as a weapon against Gaza.
A UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs spokesperson in Gaza confirmed continuous bombings of hospitals have claimed numerous lives, with residents enduring extreme hardship for 19 months. Medical services have collapsed across Gaza, leaving people to die without care. The spokesperson called for immediate border reopening and condemned Israel’s aid distribution plan as violating international law.
