Russia responds to German chancellor’s stance on Taurus missiles
webangah News Agency reports that Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, responded on Sunday to recent statements by Germany’s Chancellor regarding the non-delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. Zakharova stated: “These remarks appear to verbally confirm Germany’s desire for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized: “The German Chancellor’s duty is to entirely remove the topic of long-range missile deliveries from discussions, as if such a possibility doesn’t exist. In reality, no one will know exactly how many Taurus cruise missiles Berlin has sent to Kyiv or when they were delivered.”
Zakharova added: “The German government has now decided not to publicly disclose details about weapons deliveries to Ukraine. Don’t be naive—this is just wordplay.”
