Hungary’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister oppose Ukraine’s EU membership bid.

webangah‌ News Agency ⁤reports that Hungarian ‍Prime Minister‌ Viktor Orbán stated on Sunday that Ukraine’s potential EU membership poses a threat too his contry ‌and “cannot be allowed to happen.”

Hungarian ⁢Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó reinforced this position, calling ukraine “the most corrupt country in Europe” and warning that Kyiv’s accession woudl open Brussels’ doors to organized⁣ crime.

The statements come amid⁣ reports that the European Union is exploring ways to circumvent Hungary’s objections during Ukraine’s accession negotiations.
