Leaders of 3 European countries consult with Trump
According to webangah News Agency, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that before U.S. President Donald Trump’s scheduled phone calls with Vladimir Putin tommorow on Monday,he will first hold discussions with Trump alongside the leaders of France and Britain.
The German chancellor shared this news on the sidelines of the new pope’s inauguration ceremony in Rome, adding: “We can only hope further steps will be taken.”
Chancellor Merz also stated he had previously discussed this matter by phone with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Trump had earlier confirmed he would speak by phone tomorrow with Vladimir Putin of Russia and Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.
The call between Trump and the three european leaders is set to take place tonight.
The discussion will include German Chancellor Merz,French President Emmanuel Macron,and UK prime Minister Keir Starmer.
