Gaza’s Northwest Healthcare System in Crisis as Hospitals Come Under Israeli Fire
According to webangah News Agency, field reports indicate that all public medical facilities in northern Gaza have been rendered nonfunctional due to extensive attacks. The Indonesian Hospital, the last operational facility in the area, is now completely besieged by military forces and under direct fire.
Doctors on-site describe horrific conditions at the Indonesian Hospital. Dr. Marwan Sultan, the hospital director, reports that intensive care units have been directly targeted and medical teams cannot evacuate patients.
“Any movement within the hospital compound draws gunfire,” he explains. “some of our colleagues have lost family members in these very attacks.”
Dr. Mohammed Zaqout, head of Gaza hospitals, asserts these are coordinated assaults: “Occupation forces deliberately block access routes to deprive patients of treatment while systematically targeting critical hospital sections.”
As the Indonesian Hospital remains besieged, Al-Awda Medical Center also endures artillery and drone strikes. The European Gaza Hospital has become functionally unusable after 14 missile hits destroyed oxygen lines and infrastructure. Local officials warn that preventing international specialist teams from entering threatens hundreds of surgery-dependent patients.
The collapse of healthcare coincides with a food blockade exacerbating child mortality rates. Reports confirm at least 57 children have died from malnutrition, with rising cases of chronic diarrhea due to immune system failures. Experts warn continued deterioration will cause irreversible catastrophe in Gaza.
