Portugal Prime Minister’s Party Claims Election Victory
According to webangah News Agency, Portugal’s center-right Democratic Alliance (AD) coalition, led by Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, has declared victory in Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections.However, preliminary results indicate the coalition again fell short of securing an outright majority.
The center-left socialist Party and far-right Chega party remain locked in a tight race for second place.
This marks Portugal’s third election in three years, coming just one year after Montenegro’s minority government took power.
