Hezbollah’s electoral list leads in West Bekaa and Baalbek

As vote⁢ counting ⁤begins⁣ in Lebanon’s municipal and city​ council elections,local media report strong leads for Hezbollah and Amal Movement-backed ⁤lists in the Western Beqaa and⁢ Baalbek regions.

According to webangah ‍News Agency, the third phase ⁤of lebanon’s ​municipal elections concluded in ⁤Beirut, Baalbek, and ‍Beqaa. Vote⁣ counting began last⁤ night, with preliminary results expected from ⁣the Interior Ministry⁤ soon.

Amin Shari, a ⁣Lebanese parliament member affiliated with ⁢Hezbollah’s bloc, confirmed‌ that Shiite voters in Beirut exceeded 18,000 participants.

Reports indicate the Progress and Loyalty list leads by over 4,000 votes against its ‍rival ​in Baalbek. All 15 candidates from this list also secured necesary votes in Sahemar (Western Beqaa).

Hezbollah and Amal Movement-backed candidates have similarly won required votes in ⁢Mashghara (Western Beqaa).⁣ Lebanese ⁢media ⁤project decisive victories for their coalition lists across Mashghara, Sahemar Yahmor Labaya (Western Beqaa), and Showeir (Hermel).

Voter ‌turnout reached 20% in Beirut province while climbing to 44% in‍ Baalbek province and 42% across Beqaa governorate.
