Suspect in bombing near California fertility clinic identified July 15 2024
According to webangah News Agency, an FBI official stated that the suspect involved in the bombing at a Palm Springs fertility clinic held “nihilistic” beliefs. Akil Davis, Assistant Director of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field office, confirmed the suspect is 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus. “We are highly confident he is the primary suspect,” davis said. “The subject harbored nihilistic ideologies and targeted this IVF facility intentionally. Make no mistake—we are treating this case as an act of international terrorism.”
The explosion occurred yesterday just before 11:00 AM local time near a parked vehicle outside the clinic, killing one person and injuring at least four others.Authorities confirmed no embryos inside the facility were harmed.
The FBI believes the suspect died in the blast and intended to livestream the attack on social media. His body was found near a vehicle at the scene.
