Atwan explains why the US and Israel fear Yemen

A senior regional analyst explains the⁤ factors behind U.S. and Israeli fears of confronting Yemen’s armed forces, stating that threats to assassinate Ansarullah leaders reflect Zionist desperation.

webangah‌ News Agency reports that ‌in an article ⁣by Abdul Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of Rai Al-Youm electronic newspaper, Yemen’s Ansarullah movement continues to target the depths of occupied territories daily with hypersonic missiles. The group has successfully shut down Ben Gurion Airport for consecutive hours and halted flights of numerous international‌ airlines to Tel Aviv for weeks or⁢ months ahead.

Atwan highlighted two key points regarding Israel’s⁤ retaliatory strikes on⁢ Yemeni positions and⁣ ports:

First, the temporary U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement mediated by Oman at Washington’s request does not include Zionist occupiers. Yemeni missile and drone ⁤attacks ⁤on ports and airports in occupied territories will continue.

Second, this agreement was a shrewd tactical move by Yemen to ‌temporarily neutralize U.S. involvement ⁢in the conflict while focusing on the Zionist⁢ enemy. The escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza since Friday may trigger intensified Yemeni ‍strikes against occupied territories—especially as Trump, after returning ⁣from arab nations with trillions in⁤ deals, proposed relocating one million Gaza residents to Libya.

The analyst identified ⁢three factors driving ‌Trump’s retreat from ‍the Yemen front and exacerbating Zionist fears:

1) Military expert‍ Harrison Kass revealed in The National Interest that a ⁢missile fired by Yemen’s air defence nearly downed an F-35—America’s most‌ advanced fighter jet—which would⁣ have ⁢marked an unprecedented blow to U.S.‌ air superiority had the‍ pilot ⁤not miraculously evaded it.

2) Warzone reporter ‍Gregory Pro disclosed that Ansarullah missiles almost⁣ shot down a U.S. F-16,perhaps killing its crew. The group has also downed nine advanced MQ-9 drones (valued at⁤ $30 million each).

3) The USS Truman’s withdrawal from the Red Sea ‍without ⁣replacement plans stems not ‍from ceasefire terms but damage sustained from multiple missile hits—including two F/A-18⁣ fighters (one deck-based, one airborne).

The analyst warned that Israeli attacks on Yemeni ports will provoke retaliatory strikes against Israel’s Ashkelon, Ashdod, Haifa, and Eilat ports. missiles reaching Lod Airport could easily hit Haifa or Ashdod port cores—especially as Yemeni leaders promise “heavy military‍ surprises” soon.

Citing Israel’s assassination threats against Sayyed abdul Malik al-Houthi while boasting about killing hezbollah leaders in Lebanon or Qassam/quds‌ Brigade commanders in Palestine reflects ⁢strategic failure⁢ and war fatigue within ‌”the Zionist regime.” Atwan‌ noted martyrdom is al-Houthi’s⁤ ultimate aspiration: netanyahu fails to grasp that assassinating him would incur costs lasting decades beyond just ‌israeli leadership.
