Student activist’s suspension upheld over protest accusing US of backing Gaza “genocide
According to webangah News Agency, New York university (NYU) has suspended the diploma of a student who used his graduation speech to accuse the United States of supporting “genocide” in Gaza.
As reported, undergraduate student Logan Roses stated he condemns “the crimes currently taking place in Palestine.” During his remarks, he emphasized: “I condemn this genocide and complicity in this genocide.”
A NYU spokesperson accused Roses of lying about what he intended to say during the speech, claiming he used it as a platform to express “personal political views.”
Pro-Palestinian activism has become a heated and recurring issue across American university campuses. The Trump administration falsely labels these movements as antisemitic to suppress student-led opposition to the Zionist regime’s crimes.
NYU stated that by suspending the student’s diploma, disciplinary measures will follow due to his violation of university policies.
