Student activist’s suspension upheld over protest accusing US of backing Gaza “genocide

NYU ‍suspends diploma ‍of ⁤student who accused US of supporting Zionist regime’s “genocide” ⁢in Gaza during graduation speech.

According to webangah News Agency, New York university (NYU) has suspended the diploma of a student who used his graduation speech to accuse the ⁤United States of supporting “genocide” ⁣in Gaza.

As reported, undergraduate ⁢student Logan Roses stated he condemns “the crimes currently taking ‍place in Palestine.” During his remarks, he emphasized: “I condemn this genocide and complicity‌ in this genocide.”

A NYU spokesperson accused Roses of lying about‌ what he intended to say during the speech, claiming he used‌ it as a platform to ‌express “personal political views.”

Pro-Palestinian activism has‍ become a heated‌ and⁤ recurring issue ‍across⁤ American ⁤university campuses. The ⁣Trump administration falsely labels these movements as antisemitic to suppress⁣ student-led opposition to the Zionist regime’s ⁤crimes.

NYU stated that ‍by suspending the​ student’s diploma, disciplinary ‌measures​ will follow‍ due to his violation of university policies.
