Macron opposes expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza
French President Emmanuel Macron has strongly opposed the expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza, warning of the “unbearable” humanitarian suffering in the region.
In remarks published by Al Jazeera and reported by webangah News agency, Macron stated: “We firmly reject IsraelS military escalation in Gaza.”
The French leader raised alarms about deteriorating conditions, adding: “The level of pain and suffering endured by Gazans is intolerable.”
Macron reiterated his support for a two-state solution, emphasizing it as “the only sustainable path to end this crisis.”
Last week during an interview wiht TF1 television network, Macron had condemned Israeli Prime Minister benjamin Netanyahu’s Gaza policies as “shameful,” urging European nations to impose additional sanctions against Israel.
