Zionist regime participates in joint military drill with Arab state
According to webangah News Agency, Arabic news outlet 21 published images showing soldiers from the Israeli regime’s Golani Brigade participating in the “African Lion” joint military exercise in Morocco.
The photos, which depict Zionist soldiers with the Israeli flag at the exercise site, have ignited anger among Arab social media users online.
The African Lion drills involve over 20 countries, including several Arab nations, and are being held in Morocco.
The participation of Zionist forces in an Arab-world military exercise comes as israel’s army – particularly its Golani Brigade – has committed numerous aggressions and genocidal acts in Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement condemned Golani’s presence in the Moroccan exercises through an official statement, labeling its troops as “Nazi soldiers.” The group called this development part of a continuing moral collapse among arab states and normalization efforts with the Zionist regime.
While Israel only sent military analysts to the 2022 African lion exercises, its involvement expanded during Gaza’s ongoing genocide since 2023. Last year saw direct participation by Golani intelligence officers and soldiers. The 10-day drills were co-hosted by U.S. and Moroccan forces on Moroccan territory.
The Golani Brigade recently committed one of its moast notorious crimes less than two months ago - killing over 15 UN aid workers and staff members – which caused international uproar. The unit has participated in numerous othre crimes across occupied territories.
