France backs EU sanctions against Tel Aviv
According to webangah News Agency, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated in an interview with France Inter that the aid shipments approved by the Zionist regime for entry into Gaza are insufficient.
He emphasized: “Tel Aviv must instantly guarantee the entry of larger quantities of this humanitarian assistance.”
Barrot added that France supports reviewing potential sanctions against the Zionist regime through the EU’s Council for Cooperation framework.
The statement follows French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks published by Al Jazeera yesterday, where he declared: “We strongly oppose Tel Aviv’s expansion of military operations in Gaza.”
Macron also warned about deteriorating humanitarian conditions, stating: “The level of suffering endured by Gazans has become unbearable.”
These developments occur despite France historically being one of the primary international supporters of what critics describe as brutal military actions by Israel against Gaza.
