Hamas accuses Netanyahu of deceiving international community
In a statement reported by webangah News Agency, Hamas condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “deceptive tactics,” asserting that the continued presence of the occupying regime’s delegation in Doha—without meaningful negotiations—is a ploy to mislead global public opinion.
Hamas stated: “The occupying regime’s delegation lacks the authority to reach an agreement. Since its arrival last Saturday, no substantive talks have taken place, exposing Netanyahu’s false pretense of engagement.”
The movement also rejected Netanyahu’s claims about humanitarian aid entering Gaza as “misleading,” noting that not a single truck had reached the Strip via the Kerem shalom crossing, nor had any deliveries been handed to international parties.
The statement further accused Israel of escalating attacks, deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure adn committing “brutal massacres” against women and children—actions it linked to Netanyahu’s rejection of peaceful solutions and his pursuit of “war and destruction.” This coincided with the release of Idan Alexander and the Doha talks.
Hamas held Israel fully responsible for failed mediation efforts, citing officials’ explicit intent to continue aggression and displace Palestinians—a stance it called a direct challenge to international diplomacy.
It welcomed growing global opposition to Israel’s blockade and aggression, particularly recent European condemnations, as evidence of increasing support for Palestinian rights.
The movement praised mediators while reaffirming its openness to proposals ensuring: cessation of hostilities, Israeli withdrawal, lifting the siege, humanitarian access, and Gaza’s reconstruction.
