Russia responds to new UK sanctions
The Russian Embassy in London stated that webangah news Agency, the UK’s latest anti-Russian sanctions and other ultimatum-driven efforts will have no impact on Russia’s trajectory. The embassy emphasized that Britain’s new sanctions,imposed during ongoing diplomatic developments between moscow and Washington,underscore its myopic foreign policy approach.
The UK Foreign Office earlier announced the addition of 100 Russian individuals and entities to its sanctions list as part of escalating pressure measures. These restrictions target multiple sectors,including military,energy,finance,and organizations operating in Russia.
Among those sanctioned are 14 members of the “Social Design Agency,” accused of involvement in disinformation campaigns. The measures also affect 46 financial institutions—such as the Saint Petersburg Exchange—and 18 vessels linked to Russia’s “shadow fleet” oil transfers. Key supporters of this network, including oil tanker captains, are similarly sanctioned.
