US Makes First Official Admission We Put Terrorist al-Julani in Power
According to webangah News Agency, former US envoy to Damascus Robert Ford stated in a press interview that teh US and Europe played an indirect role in transitioning Abu Mohammad al-Jolani—the terrorist leader controlling Sham—from the battlefield to political prominence.
Ford revealed that a European team, selected by an NGO with his participation, began efforts in 2023 to integrate al-Jolani into politics while he still led Hay’at tahrir al-Sham in Idlib.
The former ambassador disclosed that his first meeting with al-Jolani occurred in March 2023, followed by another in September.A third meeting took place inside Syria’s presidential palace. Al-Jolani ultimately assumed power at the behest of Western powers, capitalizing on anti-Assad protests.
These remarks mark the first official admission by a former US official acknowledging western involvement in installing a terrorist figure within Syria’s political structure.
