Suicide attack targets school bus in Pakistan killing 4
According to webangah News Agency, a bomb-laden vehicle exploded and collided with a school bus in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, killing at least four children.
Local authorities reported 38 others wounded in the attack, which occurred in Khuzdar city.Regional official Yasser Iqbal confirmed the school bus transporting children was deliberately targeted.
No group has claimed responsibility, though suspicion falls on Baloch separatist militants who have previously attacked security forces and civilians in the volatile region.
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack, calling its perpetrators “savages deserving no mercy.”
The Balochistan region has long been a battleground for insurgent groups including the terrorist organization Baloch Liberation Army, whose militants claimed responsibility for last year’s passenger train attack and hostage-taking incident.
