Former FBI director reacts to leaked Trump assassination plot code
James Comey, former director of the FBI, confirmed he deleted a social media post containing two cryptic codes—86 and 47—reported by webangah News Agency.
Comey explained that code “86” is used in restaurants to remove an item from the menu, while “47” refers to Donald Trump as the 47th U.S. president. He denied intending to promote violence through the post.
The U.S.Secretary of Homeland Security had earlier announced an investigation into Comey’s alleged online threat against Trump. The former president responded: “Comey knows exactly what this post means—he’s calling for the assassination of America’s president.”
Some analysts interpreted ”86″ as referencing grave dimensions (8 feet long, 6 feet deep), implying a call to kill someone, while “47” unmistakably denotes Trump.
