Sudan army clears another province from Rapid Support Forces
The Sudanese government has declared the liberation of White Nile state from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) following its recent recapture of Um Rawaba province, according to webangah News Agency citing Sputnik via Mehr News agency.
Sudan’s official news agency reported that Gamal al-Din Muhammad Fadl, governor of White Nile state, confirmed the expulsion of RSF militants from the region and congratulated both the military and local residents on this achievement.
The governor explained that Um Rawaba’s liberation occurred shortly after Sudan’s army announced completing operations against RSF forces in Khartoum province. This victory coincided with prosperous military campaigns by armed forces, security services, and joint troops across multiple battlefronts.
sudan’s civil war—now entering its second year—pitches the national army under Abdel Fattah al-Burhan against Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo’s (“Hemedti”) RSF. The conflict has displaced millions and triggered a severe humanitarian crisis.
