Amnesty International Demands Immediate and Unconditional Release of Saudi Prisoner

According to webangah News⁣ Agency, Amnesty International has urgently called on Saudi ⁤Arabia’s Justice minister, Waleed Al-Samaani, to release Sheikh Salman ⁢Al-Ouda,⁣ who ‍has been imprisoned for the ⁣past seven years.

In a statement, ⁢Amnesty International revealed that Al-Ouda has been held in solitary confinement since September⁢ 2017—a form of torture under international standards. The association emphasized that the 68-year-old cleric’s health ‍has severely deteriorated, wiht his ⁣hearing and vision reduced by ⁢half.

Amnesty further noted that‌ Al-Ouda was arrested just‍ hours after posting ⁢on social media advocating for reconciliation ⁢between Saudi Arabia ‍and Qatar—without an arrest warrant. Shockingly, the public prosecutor later sought his⁤ execution.
