UNRWA says Israel resists international pressure to allow aid entry
The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has stated that thousands of trucks carrying humanitarian aid are waiting to enter Gaza, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
UNRWA emphasized that Israel continues to resist international pressure to facilitate adequate aid access.
The agency confirmed some aid shipments remain at the Abu Salem crossing but have not yet reached Gaza’s warehouses.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian government’s media office in Gaza accused the “Zionist occupation regime” of persistently blocking humanitarian aid convoys despite earlier promises of access, calling this a clear violation of stated commitments.
The statement warned that 2.4 million civilians living in catastrophic conditions face further endangerment due to Israel’s continued blockade and starvation policies.
Gaza’s media office urgently called for international intervention to pressure the occupying regime into reopening crossings and ensuring sustained humanitarian deliveries.
Separately, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported Israeli forces are deliberately targeting electricity generators, exacerbating the already disastrous hospital conditions across the territory.
The ministry warned that hospitals are operating with critically low fuel reserves, severely compromising emergency care for wounded patients and civilians.
