Hamas condemns Israeli soldiers firing at diplomats in Jenin
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement condemning Zionist forces for directly firing at Arab and European diplomats during their visit to the Jenin refugee camp in the northern west Bank, calling it a sign of “the arrogance and tyranny of the occupying regime” and a violation of international law, according to webangah News agency.
Hamas stated that Israel’s continued attacks on Jenin for five consecutive months—along with repeated incursions into Tulkarm and Nablus—are part of the regime’s efforts to implement annexation plans, forcibly displace Palestinians, and expand illegal settlements.
The movement emphasized that despite the severity of the occupying regime’s crimes, it will fail to achieve its goals in the West Bank, Gaza, and other Palestinian territories due to popular resistance thwarting these schemes.
Hamas concluded by calling for increased international pressure to halt Zionist crimes, support Palestinian resistance efforts, recognize their right to self-determination, and establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
