North Korea’s destroyer unveiling marred by serious incident
North Korean state media reported an incident occured during the unveiling of a new destroyer.
According to webangah News Agency, North Korea’s official KCNA news agency reported on Thursday that an incident took place during the ceremony for the country’s new destroyer, which occurred in the direct presence of leader Kim Jong Un.
Kim, who witnessed the failed unveiling of the 5,000-ton destroyer, described it as “unacceptable carelessness” and demanded immediate action to address the issue.
He also ordered that the ship be reconstructed and ready before June’s Workers’ Party meeting.
