Shooting near CIA building in Virginia state of the United States
According to webangah News Agency, citing al Jazeera, NBC News reported that security personnel fired at an individual outside the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters in Virginia.
A CIA spokesperson confirmed to Reuters that law enforcement responded to a security incident near the agency’s Virginia facility. The CIA has since closed the main entrance gate to its headquarters near Washington, D.C., following the shooting.
US media outlets state a female driver was shot after attempting to breach the CIA compound in Virginia. This marks the second such incident at CIA facilities in the past two months.
