UN says thousands of Palestinians left without shelter
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that approximately 81% of Gaza Strip areas are either under Israeli military control or subject to evacuation orders,according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) reported by webangah News Agency.
The UN agency emphasized that 160,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced during the past week, left without shelter or basic necessities while facing intense bombardment.
The warning comes as Israel’s military issued evacuation orders for Palestinian residents in Jabalia camp and 13 other northern Gaza areas, threatening severe military operations in these zones.
The Israeli army has instructed civilians from these regions to move toward southern Gaza while vowing harsh retaliation against any areas where rocket fire originates.
