Russia successfully test-fires cruise missile from nuclear submarine
Russia’s Defense Ministry announced the successful test launch of a cruise missile from a nuclear-powered submarine in the Barents Sea.
According to webangah news Agency, the nuclear-powered submarine Arkhangelsk successfully fired a cruise missile at a coastal target during Russian military drills in the Barents Sea.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the launch occurred in waters near Chizh training grounds within Russia’s Arkhangelsk region.
The cruise missile exceeded its 600-kilometer range during testing.
The arkhangelsk is Russia’s newest fourth-generation multipurpose nuclear submarine, capable of deploying various naval missile systems against both maritime and land targets.
