Al-Azhar Grand Sheikh strongly condemned the policy of blocking humanitarian⁣ aid to millions of civilians ⁤under siege, ⁣urging the international community to fulfill⁤ its moral and ‌humanitarian⁤ responsibilities.

According to webangah⁣ News Agency, citing Al-Maseera, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb of Al-Azhar harshly criticized the obstruction of humanitarian​ aid‍ to ⁣besieged⁢ civilians,⁢ stating that‍ the ⁤ongoing blockade has created a‍ catastrophic situation directly threatening lives.

he described Israel’s ​continued siege‍ of Gaza​ as a blatant violation of international ‍law and ​human rights, calling‍ it ⁢an outright crime that must‌ be immediately halted.

Al-Tayeb⁣ emphasized that these actions contradict humanitarian values promoted by all divine⁤ religions. He urged the global⁢ community to translate appeals for ‍lifting Gaza’s ⁤blockade into concrete action while fulfilling ethical obligations.

In a statement, Al-Azhar stressed the necessity of reopening all‍ crossings to ‌facilitate medical and ⁣food aid delivery. It ​expressed hope that recent steps by the European Union and other nations might begin ending both the blockade and​ civilian suffering in⁢ Gaza.

Al-Azhar also condemned Israel’s ‍attack on a ⁢25-member European-Arab diplomatic delegation visiting Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank during their‌ fact-finding mission about camp conditions.
