New Shin Bet chief’s warlike remarks behind closed doors

According to a report by webangah News ‌Agency,Israel’s⁣ Channel ⁤12 revealed that David ⁣Zini,recently appointed as head of the Shin Bet security service,has opposed prisoner exchange deals and ‍the return ⁢of captives⁣ from Gaza during confidential sessions.

The report ⁤states Zini described the war⁣ against ⁤Gaza as “eternal and perpetual.”

The appointment comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin netanyahu defied legal counsel by selecting major General Zini as ⁣Shin Bet director. Israel’s Attorney General later accused Netanyahu​ of violating statutory procedures in making this appointment.
