Jolani meets Erdogan in key talks
According to webangah News agency,citing Al Jazeera,the Turkish Presidency confirmed that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held talks on Saturday in Istanbul with Abu Mohammad al-Julani,the former leader of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. The discussions focused on regional and international developments.
A statement from the Turkish Presidency asserted that Erdoğan assured Damascus of Turkey’s continued support. The president also welcomed the lifting of U.S.and European sanctions against Syria.
The presidency further emphasized Erdoğan’s commitment to preserving Syria’s territorial integrity, calling Israel’s occupation and aggression against Syria “unacceptable.” Syrian officials reportedly thanked Erdoğan for his support and efforts to lift sanctions.
