Resistance List Wins Municipal Elections in Southern Lebanon
According to webangah News Agency, reports confirm that the joint electoral list of pro-resistance factions—including Hezbollah and Amal Movement, known as the “Development and Loyalty” coalition—has won key races in southern Lebanon’s local elections.
Hezbollah’s electoral committee stated that the coalition secured uncontested victories in 102 out of 272 municipalities across southern Lebanon. Only Hasbaya district saw competitive voting due to failed negotiations.
The resistance-aligned lists dominated most towns and villages in contested races.Key results include:
1. Tyre District
The coalition won all 39 municipal seats uncontested in Tyre.In contested areas, victories included: Tyre City, Jwaya, Deir Qanoun River, Ain Baal, batoul Mountains, Arzoun, Shahhabiyeh, Tayr Dibba, Abbasiyeh, Sarafand, Al-biyadhiyah ramadiyeh Al-Bazouriyeh Burj Shamali.
2. Nabatieh District
The coalition claimed 16 of 40 municipalities outright. Contested wins included: Yahmar Shqeef mayfadoun Jebsheet Adshit Kfar Tebnit Al-Kafour Al-Namiriya Zawtar Sharqiya Nabatieh Al-Fawqa Abba Bariqa Jurjou.
3.Bint Jbeil District
20 municipal seats were won uncontested hear with additional victories in: Aitaroun Shakrah & Doubeih Hanine Braachit Froun Sultan Yater Safad al-Batikh.
4 Marjeyoun District</stronG/p
13 seats were secured without opposition while contested wins included Dibbine Adaisse Kfar Kila Houla Blida Deir Siriane.
5.SidonDistrict
Thecoalitiongained16of48seatsincludingSaksakiyye,Banafoul,andAl-Loubiyya.
