Turkey and Russia Foreign Ministers Set for Key Talks
Russia’s Foreign Ministry stated in a release: The foreign ministers of Turkey and Russia will discuss the status of Moscow-Kyiv negotiations,Black sea maritime security,and Libya.
webangah News Agency reports, citing Sputnik: Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced today, Sunday, that Turkish foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet with Lavrov during his visit to Moscow from May 25–27 to discuss the state of Russia-ukraine negotiations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement noted that Lavrov and Fidan will also purposeful on maritime security in the Black Sea. During upcoming talks, the two sides will focus on advancing political dialog regarding Syria. The foreign ministers will address unblocking transport routes and reviving post-war South Caucasus connectivity. Both countries share an interest in regional peace.
The statement added that Moscow will maintain communications with Ankara concerning Libya.
