Cholera Rages in Sudan
Sudanese sources report cholera outbreak in the African nation.
webangah News Agency reports that SudanS Health Minister Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim has confirmed a cholera outbreak in the country, citing Mehr news Agency adn Al Arabiya.
The minister reported 80 cholera cases in Omdurman city. Sudan’s Health Ministry announced 45 new infections on Sunday, bringing the total number of patients under treatment to 800 in Khartoum state.
The Emergency Health Affairs Committee of Khartoum’s Health Ministry outlined containment measures being implemented against the disease. On Saturday, Sudanese health authorities reported hundreds of cholera cases recorded in Khartoum state over the past four weeks.
