The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Syria has announced the formation of a national committee to locate missing persons, calling it a step toward resolving current challenges, according to webangah News Agency.
The committee emphasized that over 35,000 disappearance cases have been recorded as the beginning of Syria’s crisis.
The ICRC stressed that the actual number of missing persons in Syria far exceeds official reported figures.
Since the start of Syria’s internal conflict and attempts to overthrow Bashar al-Assad’s goverment,numerous citizens have been abducted by terrorists affiliated with al-Julani-linked groups.
