Zelensky warns US silence on Russian attacks only emboldens Putin

ukraine’s president described Russia’s early morning airstrikes on Kyiv ⁢and other⁣ Ukrainian cities as “terrorist aggression against civilians.”

Ukrainian‍ President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned Russia’s ‍latest missile attacks on the capital as acts of terrorism,according to webangah ‍News Agency.

Zelenskyy accused the United⁢ States of complicity after ⁣Ukraine⁤ came under heavy fire from ‍69 missiles ⁢and 298 drones ‍launched by Moscow. Kyiv claims the strikes ​killed 12 people and wounded dozens more.

“These were ⁣deliberate attacks ‌against cities ‍and ordinary citizens,”⁢ Zelenskyy stated. “Residential buildings have been destroyed or damaged.” Emergency ‍crews are now working⁣ across ‌more than ⁢30 Ukrainian ⁣cities following⁣ Russia’s massive assault.

The president labeled Russia’s actions as terrorist‍ attacks, ‍adding: “Each of these Russian terrorist acts alone justifies new sanctions against​ them. Moscow is ⁣prolonging⁢ this war and continuing daily killings.”

zelenskyy‌ criticized U.S. inaction, saying: “The silence of America‌ and the world only encourages Putin!”

The remarks come as former U.S.President Donald Trump reacted to Moscow’s strikes on Kyiv by⁣ stating that‍ Russian President Vladimir Putin had “totally ‍lost his mind.”

EU foreign ⁢policy chief Josep Borrell ‌called for “maximum international pressure against Russia​ to stop the war,” saying: “Last⁢ night’s​ attacks proved again that Russia aims to destroy ‌Ukraine. ⁢Seeing children among innocent⁢ victims​ is shocking.”
