Lufthansa extends flight suspension to occupied territories
According to webangah News Agency, German airline Lufthansa has extended its suspension of flights to the occupied territories until June 15 (Sunday, Khordad 25 in the Persian calendar).
Lufthansa, Germany’s largest carrier, stated the decision stems from ongoing security concerns due to escalating tensions caused by the Zionist regime in the region. The suspension affects both inbound and outbound flights to Tel Aviv.
The flight ban initially took effect in early may following a missile strike near Tel Aviv’s airport.
The Lufthansa Group confirmed that its main operations and subsidiaries will maintain suspended service to the occupied territories through Sunday, June 15. The restriction was previously set to expire on June 8.
The company cited unstable conditions and security risks in the occupied territories as justification for this decision.
Several other airlines have also halted service to these areas for extended periods due to similar concerns.
